MARQUETTE — Weight Watchers continued their celebration of Earth Day Wednesday afternoon.

Weight Watchers member Lisa Cory demonstrated how to cook desserts made with beans. The desserts were both healthy for people and good for the earth as well.

She also told her story of how she lost over 70 pounds since joining Weight Watchers.

“It’s a great place for support, and to have discussion about food and weight loss and getting healthy,” said Cory. “I like how you can have whatever you want to eat, and they teach you how to portion and track it. It’s a great way for me to be healthy.”

Weight Watchers’ Earth Day Celebration continues Thursday evening with DIGS Chef Andrew Sear demoing another healthy dish: Chickpea and Lemon Bruschetta.
