Upper Hand to host Home Brew Competition
ESCANABA — There are hundreds of homebrewers that work tirelessly to brew their own beer, perfecting a passion they hope will be noticed by consumers. This month, they have the chance to make it big.
Upper Hand Brewery will be hosting their inaugural Homebrew Competition. On April 7th, homebrewers can pick up brewed wort from Upper Hand. The winning brewer will get an experience of a lifetime.
“They’ll get to brew on our 20–barrell brew system, and do a professional batch alongside our brewers, which will be released at our largest party, the Backyard Barbecue in July. Something that we’re super excited for, too, is we’ll be entering their beer into a pro–am competition in Denver, Colorado at The Great American Beer Festival,” said Upper Hand Marketing Coordinator Brandon Frisk.
That includes an all expenses paid trip for the winner. All contestants must bring in a sanitized 5–gallon container for the wort, and must have their brews back to Upper Hand by May 16th. For more information, click here.
