MARQUETTE COUNTY — The Board of County Road commissioners talked about some agendas and some good news at Monday’s meeting. The committee went over many topics at the road commissioners meeting and they were giving information of a possible road funding by the governor.

“This is our regular monthly meeting at the Marquette County Road Commission. I would say the best thing on our agenda was that the governor would probably sign the $1.75 million in additional road funding tomorrow. The board approved our share of the money which is about $600,000.00 and they approved four projects that we will be spending on that which will improve about four and half miles of road,” said, Engineer Manager of the Marquette County Road Commission, Jim Iwanicki.

These projects will benefit the community at large and we will hopefully be riding on repaired roads in the future.
