Trooper involved in accident while responding to alarm
QUINNESEC — A Michigan State Police trooper was involved in a two-vehicle accident while responding to a residential burglary alarm in Quinnesec.
The crash occurred Thursday at 6:12 p.m. at the intersection of Lake Antoine Road and US-2. The police car had the emergency lights and sirens activated at the time of the crash.
The driver of the other vehicle and the trooper sought their own treatment at the Dickinson County Hospital. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
The Michigan State Police were assisted on the scene by Breitung Township Fire Department and Iron Mountain Police Department.
