UPDATE: Man arrested in connection with drive-by shooting in Ramsay

UPDATE: Monday, February 12th at 4:10 p.m.

The Gogebic County Sheriff’s Office has released the names and charges of the suspect in custody for the drive-by shooting early Sunday morning near the Keystone bar in Ramsay.

Twenty-nine year-old Cory William Leuzzo has been arraigned on a five count felony warrant issued by Gogebic County Prosecutor Nick Jacobs. He is charged with threat of terrorism, discharging a firearm from a vehicle, discharging a firearm at or inside a building, assault with a dangerous weapon and a felony firearm charge.

Leuzzo is suspected to have fired multiple rounds from his vehicle with an assault rifle early Sunday morning, after a disagreement with a female acquaintance. No injuries were reported. He was arrested at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday without incident.

The investigation is ongoing.

Leuzzo is currently lodged in the Gogebic County Jail. His bond remains at $100,000.


RAMSAY — A 29 year-old man was arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting that occurred early Sunday morning in Ramsay.

911 Dispatch received a report of gunfire near the Keystone bar at 1:55 a.m. Both Gogebic County Deputies and Michigan State Police responded to the call.

There were no injuries reported in the incident. Following an investigation into the shooting, deputies from the Gogebic County Sheriff’s Department arrested a Bessemer Township man without incident around 4:00 p.m. Sunday.

He is currently lodged at the Gogebic County Jail on a $100,000 bond. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday, February 12th.
