No injuries reported after semi went through fence at Delta County Airport

ESCANABA — There were no injuries reported following an accident involving a semi tractor-trailer in Escanaba Friday morning.

The Escanaba Department of Public Safety responded to a semi tractor-trailer accident on the 2400 block of South Lincoln Road at 5:42 a.m. The semi was northbound on South Lincoln Road when the vehicle crossed all lanes of traffic after hitting a snow embankment.

The semi struck a light pole and continued traveling through the fence at the Delta County Airport. The driver was identified as Steven Moody from Midland, Michigan.

There were no injuries reported and the accident remains under investigation. Escanaba Public Safety was assisted by Delta County Central Dispatch, Escanaba City Electric Department and Gene’s Towing.
