MARQUETTE — Since its doors were opened in November, it has been a helpful home for many. The Grandview Marquette is looking for possible tenants.

There are 18 units available for rent, each for tenants whose incomes fall between the 50 and 60 percents of Marquette County’s Area Medium Income.

“There’s a misconception that Grandview Marquette is strictly low–income housing, and it’s not,” said Rod DesJardins, Housing Services Director for Community Action Alger Marquette. “It’s housing that is built for a range of incomes. It’s a little bit more complicated because we have a fair amount of paperwork that we have to do before we send in the application to the management company.”

People with an income between $21,000 and $40,000 are eligible to rent from Grandview Marquette.

“We strive to make Grandview Marquette home to the people who live here. We have wonderful amenities, it’s a beautiful building, breathtaking views of the city and the surrounding hills, it’s just a really cool place to live.”
