Accident on M-28 sends three to hospital
MUNISING TOWNSHIP — A two-vehicle accident sent three people to the hospital on Friday evening.
Troopers from the Michigan State Police Negaunee Post responded to a two-vehicle personal injury crash on M-28 near Percy Road at 5:00 p.m.
A 2003 Honda Pilot driven by a 58 year-old man from Grand Rapids was traveling westbound on M-28 when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle crossed the center line into the path of an eastbound 2008 Dodge Nitro, which was driven by a 53 year-old female from Munising.
Both drivers and a passenger in the Honda were transported to U.P. Health Systems – Marquette by EMS. Speed was a factor in the crash.
