Church hosts women’s conference this weekend
ISHPEMING — NorthIron Church in Ishpeming is hosting an event this weekend centered on women and faith in not just the church but in themselves and the fellowship.
Massages and other treats will be available during the event. There will also be a presentation by Mercy Lockulutu, a speaker and author from Texas who creates sermons designed for women.
“This is why we do what we do. If we can get them into a place of support of other people who are on that journey of living with God, and trying to figure out how that works. We’re all in different places in life,” said Jennifer Broberg, manager of the event as well as the pastor’s wife.
“This is an event to come and get your feet wet, get to know people, it’s really laid back. There’s no expectations of you whatsoever and NorthIron is a very friendly, non–judgmental. They love everyone in this church and just want them to have peace, and fellowship, and love with each other,” added Janice Chittle, event volunteer.
