YMCA allowing public to shower, charge phones

MARQUETTE — The YMCA of Marquette County is offering up the facility’s water and power to anyone in the area for free, according to a press release sent out this afternoon.

Due to the weather, many residents are sitting without power and water. As part of their mission, the YMCA wants to help community members in need by allowing the public to shower or charge phones.

People do not need to be members to come use the restrooms, showers or lobby area during their regular hours, which are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
