Two motorcycle accidents occur within minutes of each other
ONTONAGON COUNTY — The Ontonagon County Sheriff’s Office handled two separate motorcycle accidents that occurred within minutes of each other Monday night.
The sheriff’s office was dispatched to South Boundary Road just after 6:00 p.m. for the accident. Thomas Weks of Oak Grove, Louisiana was traveling south when he failed to negotiate a curve.
The motorcycle ended up on the gravel shoulder and went to the ground. Weks was taken to Aspirus Ontonagon for medical treatment.
His bike sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene. The other accident also occurred on South Boundary road just after 6:15 p.m.
Michael Cox of Oak Grove, Louisiana was traveling south when he lost control of his bike while maneuvering a curve. Cox told police the pavement was wet when he lost control.
The motorcyclist was not injured, but his bike was towed from the scene.
