Juveniles admit to illegally entering, damaging local business
ISHPEMING — The Ishpeming Police Department is investigating multiple break-ins and vandalism complaints at Bell Forest Products.
On August 23rd, employees at the business apprehended three juveniles between 10 and 11-years-old attempting to gain access into the facility at approximately 5:30 p.m. The juveniles admitted to entering the facility and causing the damage.
Bell Forest Products has had three break-ins occur in the last week. Some of the damage done to the facility includes spray painting, breaking windows, plus damage to a snowmobile and forklift was estimated at $20,000.
The juveniles were turned over to the custody of their parents. Investigation into the incidents is on-going.
A report will be sent to the Marquette County Prosecutors Office for review. Breaking and Entering of a Building is a felony.
