Gary Peters (D) Michigan “Manufacturing is a key component of our state and I want to make sure that we have a healthy economy and really focus on manufacturing. I don’t believe you can be a great county unless you actually make something and that’s what happening here at CertainTeed: they’re making a great product that really sells all across the country, but it made right here in the U.P.,” said Peters.
He said his tour stopped at CertainTeed because the company conducts important manufacturing business and employs many workers in the U.P. Peters will be stopping in Ironwood and Iron River tomorrow before leading his motorcycle tour back downstate.
