UPDATE: Seven illegal immigrants arrested in Marquette

The U.S. Border Patrol has confirmed with ABC 10 that seven illegal immigrants were arrested at a residence in Marquette Wednesday night.

All seven illegal immigrants are men. Four of them are from Guatemala, two are from Mexico, and one is from Honduras.

The illegal immigrants in custody will appear before an immigration judge who will decide their fate.

Why the seven men were in Marquette and how long they’ve been in the U.S. is still under investigation.


MARQUETTE — Eight illegal immigrants were apprehended in Marquette on Wednesday evening.

The Marquette Police Department assisted U.S. Border Patrol officials at 320 East College Avenue on Wednesday around 6:40 P.M. The investigation is under the control of Border Patrol officials.
