Celebrities swinging into Marquette
MARQUETTE — From former Red Wings Player Randy Mckay to a previous member of a Super Bowl winning team, these celebrities and more are on their way to Marquette.
The Beacon House will be holding its annual Celebrity Golf Classic throughout this week. During this time, sponsors from all over the world will be competing in a golf tournament along with other philanthropic events. Some of the other exciting things that will be happening during this week include; a match party, a golf clinic, and plenty of chances at winning brand new golf clubs.
The celebrities attending this event range from previous NFL and MLB players and of course P-G-A professionals as well. The Golf Classic is a very important event for the Beacon House.
“This has become so important to us because it literally keeps our doors open. Said Beacon House CEO Mary Dowling, “without this fundraiser and without these sponsors helping us, we wouldn’t have a Beacon House, so it’s hugely important to us.”
Dowling also added that because of all the sponsors dedication to the Beacon House, it is their goal to make sure they have the time of their lives while in Marquette. The event kicks off on Wednesday morning with the celebrity golf clinic where PGA professionals will help with getting players ready for the week.
We have an AMAZING team that works on the UP Celebrity Golf Classic for Beacon House and we couldn't do it without them!…
