Blood center in critical need
MARQUETTE — The U.P. Regional Blood Center is in critical need of donations of several blood types.
They’re looking for A-negative, O-negative, and B-negative blood types in the Iron Mountain, Marquette, Hancock, and Escanaba service areas. Donors need to be at least 17 years of age and weigh at least 110 pounds. Donors also need to be healthy and hydrated, have eaten two hours prior to donating, and not have donated blood for at least eight weeks. A picture ID is also required.
