Craft Night pays homage to a different holiday hero
GWINN — Christmas is just days away, and everyone has thoughts of Santa in their heads. But, the Up North Lodge had a different holiday hero in mind.
Every first and third Wednesday of the month, the Up North Lodge hosts a Beer and Brushes party. Patrons are invited out to create a masterpiece while having a few drinks. This time around, management decided to mix things up.
“When we were looking at the date to do it, we were like, ‘it’s the Wednesday before Christmas, who’s going to want to come?’ and I said, ‘the Grinches! The Grinches will want to come,'” said general manager Anna Dravland, “If people were looking for something to do, the holidays aren’t quite here, so we wanted to give people an opportunity to celebrate in a way that makes them more comfortable if they’re not in the mood to sing Jingle Bells.”
The artists painted a fun portrait of the Grinch and sipped on some holiday themed cocktails as well.
