Police find crack cocaine, heroin & cash during traffic stop
ESCANABA — A man is behind bars after police found drugs and a large amount of cash during a traffic stop Monday night.
Officers with Escanaba Public Safety pulled over a vehicle on the 300 block of N. 16th Street at approximately 10:00 p.m. Five people, three men and women, were inside the vehicle.
During the traffic stop, police discovered an undetermined amount of suspected heroin, crack cocaine, marijuana and a large amount of U.S. Currency. Police took one man into custody on several drug related charges.
The vehicle was towed from the scene. The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team and the EPSD K-9 assisted at the scene.
