CRYSTAL FALLS — A house in Iron County was damaged after police say it was struck by a truck pulling a camper.

Just before 10:00 p.m. Monday, Iron County Deputies responded to an accident on US-141 in Crystal Falls. Police say a 53-year-old North Carolina man was driving westbound on US-2 near Oswald Street when the truck he was driving veered off the road and struck a house.

The impact tore off the front porch of the house. The man driving the truck was found conscious but unresponsive by authorities. Medical first responders suspect that a medical event was the cause of the accident.

The 53-year-old man was taken to Aspirus Iron River Hospital.  All eight people inside the home at the time of the accident were not injured.
