ESCANABA — The holidays are fast approaching and the Escanaba Department of Pubic Safety, Walmart, and U.S. Marine Corps Reserve are looking for public assistance with making less fortunate children smile on Christmas morning.
In the spirit of making a positive difference in our community, we have teamed up to host a Christmas Toy Drive. The charity event will be held on Tuesday, October 28th from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Walmart in Escanaba. Members and employees from the three host organizations will be present collecting donations of new, unwrapped toys. Donations received from this event will be distributed this holiday season to local children in need by Toys for Tots.
From 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M, Green Bay Packers Cornerback Davon House will be on-site signing autographs in support of our cause. Cost for an autograph will be a donation of a new, unwrapped toy. C ash and gift card donations will also be accepted. Bring your own item to be signed. Autograph items will also be available for purchase.
Please come out and help us help those who truly cannot help themselves . Give a little and get a lot this holiday season. Thank you.
