Trenary-based startup Feeding America with skateboard design
A Trenary–based startup is helping stock Feeding America’s West Michigan Food Bank with a skateboard.
The father-son team at Temptation Skateboards is sponsoring Pete Betti, one of the competitors at this year’s World Freestyle Round-Up in Vancouver, and outfitting him with a very special hand-printed board. The deck features a picture of an undead chef ladling out pasta to help Feed America. The skin and bones design is meant to bring attention to the ongoing hunger problem in Alger, Luce and Chippewa counties, with $5 from each board sold going to the Sault Ste. Marie branch of Feeding America’s West Michigan Food Bank.
John Colley owns the company and designs all the boards with his son. He has a personal connection to those who struggle to afford food. Colley used to rely heavily on a Bridge Card, and now wants to return the favor by helping needy families.
