Babycakes offers unique dishes for Restaurant Week
Marquette Restaurant Week is still going strong, with local diners, restaurants, and bakeries offering unique dining experiences to residents and visitors alike.
For the third year running, Babycakes is one of the Eastside Originals restaurants participating in Restaurant Week. They offer various sandwiches, soups and salads on special this week, including wheat-free, gluten-free and vegan options. Healthy and flavorful foods are the specialty at Babycakes, and dessert is also on the list of foods newcomers can try.
“We have an orange cake, which is a wheat-free, gluten-free clementine. We have a wheat-free, gluten-free lemon with a homemade lemon curd, and then we have a chocolate espresso cake with a homemade espresso filling,” said chef Ann Marie Brown. “We like to keep the option of healthy and also exciting, instead of just being healthy. We like to make sure that not only is it good for you, but it tastes good too.”
Babycakes strives to put a special twist on many of their meals in order to provide a unique experience. Restaurant Week allows local businesses to jazz up their menus and get new customers to come in and try new things.
“It’s a great way to get out and start to know your local restaurants and the independent owners, and support your local business and find great deals on great food,” Brown added.
Marquette Restaurant Week runs through Saturday, so there’s still time to find out the variety of delights that Marquette’s restaurants offer. For a list of participating restaurants, visit the Eastside Originals website.
