NMU presidential search update
Northern Michigan University is getting closer to finding its new president.
The NMU Presidential Search Advisory Committee gave an update today about where it is in the process, and the good news is that the search is on track. Applications are due by March 3rd, after which a website will be created to allow the search committee to access resumes and learn more about the applicants. The search committee will narrow the applicant field on March 10th down to seven to nine semi-finalists, all of whom will have in-person interviews.
From that group, no more than four will become finalists, all of whom will get the opportunity to come to campus and meet the student body and other groups, which is an essential part of the process. The search committee will deliver their recommendation to the Board of Trustees and a new president should be in place on July 1st.
NMU has more information available online about the process.
