Baby’s death ruled accidential
The death of a baby in Calumet last week as been ruled accidental.
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office said that the baby, 20-month-old Maison Williams, died of a traumatic head injury after falling from a second story window on 6th Street in Calumet on Thursday, July 11.
According to the medical examiner’s report, the child’s mother said the toddler was watching a movie when she downstairs to check food in the stove. Coming back upstairs, she heard a woman screaming to call 911. She went outside to the woman, and saw the toddler on the sidewalk.
The boy was transported to Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital, and then airlifted to Milwaukee Children’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead Friday, July 12.
The Calumet Police say the incident is still under investigation.
