Calumet Stabbing Case Takes Step Forward
The case against a Calumet man accused of a stabbing 2 weeks ago will move on to Circuit Court.
36-year-old Kenneth Caron is accused of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder.
He’s slated to have his arraignment on March 1st.
Caron’s preliminary exam was scheduled to take place today.
But he and his lawyer waived his right to have it to get more time to consider a possible plea agreement.
Caron is accused of stabbing another Calumet man on 4th Street in Calumet 2 weeks ago.
The victim is 46 years old.
He was treated at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital in Laurium for stab wounds to his left arm and right leg and released.
Caron is in the Houghton County Jail on $5,000 bond.
