Torch Lake Township Fire Destroys Home
Fire destroys a house under construction in the Keweenaw.
It happened at about 10 this morning on Lower Point Mills Road in Torch Lake Township.
It started at a boiler in the back of the house.
Then it spread to construction materials that were being stored behind the house.
The 2-story home was a total loss, but the owner plans to rebuild.
The Dollar Bay, Tamarack City, Boston Location and Quincy-Franklin-Hancock Township Volunteer Fire Departments all responded to the blaze.
No one was hurt.
