MARQUETTE — A new Provost has been selected at Northern Michigan University.

The University announced Wednesday morning that Dr. Kerri Schuiling will be the new Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs. Schuiling most recently served as a professor and dean of the College of Health Science and Professional Studies.

In a statement sent from the University, Schuiling said, “I look forward to working with the president, his leadership team and our faculty and staff in mapping out a strategic plan that will move us and our university forward.”

NMU President Fritz Erickson called Schuiling “the right person at the right time for this position,” citing her in-depth knowledge of the university. She will take over the position previously held by Paul Lang, who passed away in January.
