Man accused of multiple felony counts enters plea

ONTONAGON — An Ontonagon man accused of four different felony counts is set to be sentenced next month.

Fifty–one year old Timothy Pietila did not enter a plea to his original charges of attempted murder, first–degree criminal sexual conduct, assault by strangulation and felony firearm. Pietila plead no contest to three new counts: firearm careless discharge with property damage greater than $50, weapons, firearm possession under the influence, and assault and battery.

The original counts are withholding no plea until sentencing, which is scheduled in Ontonagon County District Court on May 16th.
