Iron Mountain man arrested after allegedly damaging vehicles

A 20-year-old Iron Mountain man is in police custody after allegedly damaging three vehicles in Iron Mountain.

Police say they received a call about a suspicious person near the Iron Mountain Hardee’s Sunday night, and was later found walking on Merritt Avenue near Rudy’s Body Shop.  They discovered a vehicle parked at a residence on 4th Street was damaged.  After further investigating the incident, police learned two vehicles at the body shop were also damaged.

The man was arrested and is currently lodged in the Dickinson County Correctional Facility.  Formal charges are pending the review of the incident by Dickinson County Prosecutor Lisa Richards.

The Iron Mountain Police Department was assisted on scene by the Dickinson County Prosecutor’s Office and an evidence technician from the Michigan State Police.
