Escanaba women arrested on drug charges after being found sleeping in car
ESCANABA –Escanaba Public Safety Officers were dispatched to a parking lot on Monday morning, for a female that was slumped over her steering wheel.
At approximately 7:32 a.m., officers arrived to find 42–year–old Shannon Dee Stevenson of Escanaba asleep in her car, and were able to wake her up.
After further investigation, Stevenson was found to be under the influence of drugs.
Upon arrest, several small individual baggies of suspected cocaine were found in the vehicle, as well as prescription medications that did not appear to be prescribed to Stevenson.
Stevenson was arrested and charged with Operating Under the Influence of Drugs, Possession with Intent to Deliver Controlled Substances, and Possession of Analogues.
Stevenson is currently lodged at the Delta County Jail, where she is due in court on August 29th.
