Mother’s Day flowers available at annual pop-up flower shop

MARQUETTE — There is only a few days left to make sure you get your gift and flowers for the mother figure in your life.

The Marquette Food Co–Op and employees from Rock River Farms are hosting the Mother’s Day Pop–up Flower Shop.

This is the third annual Mother’s Day pop up shop and Rock River Farms tries to grow as many flowers as they can to ensure that those in the community are able to give their mothers a special kind of bouquet.

“So this year we’ve grown up to 50% of the flowers that we’re selling here at the Marquette Food Co–Op. We’ve ordered peonies in from North Carolina and then the other flowers we’ve purchased from the U.S. and Canadian farms, so we’re really, really excited” said Shailah Bunce from Rock River Farms.

The flower shop is open on Friday until 7 p.m. inside the Marquette Food Co–Op.

If you don’t have a chance to go on Friday, they will also be open tomorrow from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
