Iron Mountain man arrested for making threat with a knife

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Iron Mountain Police Department was dispatched to the Midtown Mall parking lot at 11:51 on Friday, April 26th, in reference to someone who was threatened with a knife.

The victim, who was not injured, advised that the suspect’s vehicle had left the parking lot on F Street West bound.

The suspect’s vehicle was occupied by five individuals and was located north bound on Carpenter Ave. A felony traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle near Carpenter and West C Street.

The weapon believed to be used in the incident was recovered as a result of the investigation.

A 35-year-old male suspected was arrested and lodged in the Dickinson County Correctional Center pending formal charges.

A reported will be forwarded to the county prosecutor for the issuance of the formal charges.

The Iron Mountain Police Department was assisted with the traffic stop by the Kingsford Public Safety Department.
