Two car crash in Marinette causes one death, two injured
UPDATE — The Marinette County Sheriff’s department released the names of the people involved.
The victim is 74-year-old, Robert W. Roland from Pembine.
73-year-old, Mary Lou Roland of Pembine and 43-year-old Larry R. Feltner of Wausaukee were also injured in the crash.
The investigation is still ongoing.

MARINETTE — A fatal accident happened in Marinette earlier Tuesday afternoon.
The Marinette County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call of a crash at approximately 12:57 p.m. on December 11th.
The crash happened on State Highway 180 near Oxbow Lane in the town of Wausaukee.
According to the Sheriff, a vehicle was traveling west bound on Highway 180 when it crossed the centerline while negotiating a curve and struck an east bound vehicle head-on.
The driver of the westbound vehicle was a 74-year-old male, who sustained fatal injuries.
There was a female passenger in the westbound car that was injured and transported by rescue.
The sole male driver of the eastbound vehicle was also transported from the scene.
The injuries did not appear to be life threatening.
The name of the deceased male and others involved are being withheld at this time pending notification of family members.
This crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol, Marinette County Sheriff’s Office and Marinette County Coroner.
Also assisting at the scene were: Wausaukee Fire Department, Wausaukee Rescue Squad, Crivitz Rescue Squad, Beacon Ambulance, Bay Area Medical Center Paramedics and Marinette County Coroner, George Smith.
