Could a new future fuel power cars?
MARQUETTE — The future of fuel for cars was discussed tonight at a local brewery in Marquette.
The Ore Dock Brewery’s ongoing Science on Tap event is all about bringing in the community to learn about science while enjoying the brewery’s beverages. One Northern Michigan University Professor is going to dive deep into the science of what might be used as fuel for our cars in the future.
“The big thing with nuclear fusion is as a replacement for our current electrical sources. So replacing fossil fuels and nuclear fission plants with a much safer and more efficient power source. If you believe some of the groups they’d say within ten years they would have a viable working unit, but there is still a lot of research to be done,” said NMU professor, Dr. William Tireman
When the said research is funded and completed we may one day be using our nuclear power as a safe and stable source of fuel to help us get around town.
