U.P. Blood Shortage Critical, Blood Drive Tomorrow at Hancock Regional Blood Center
HANCOCK – Blood supplies are critically low across the Upper Peninsula, the U.P. Regional Blood Center says the need is critical this time of the year for all blood types. As donation sites become less frequent during the summer, and there is often increased demand for transfusions during summers. There is a blood drive tomorrow with GS Engineering, to take place at the Center’s Hancock office. Call the office at 906-483-1392 to set up an appointment; walk-ins are welcome. The blood drive starts at 1 pm and will last two hours. If you miss out on tomorrow’s donation site, check the U.P. Regional Blood Center’s facebook page for other donation events, or call your local Center’s office to set up your own donation drive.
