Several Marquette County Organizations benefited from over $75,000 in grant funding recently.
The Paul F. Blewett legacy funds established at the Community Foundation of Marquette County distributed $76,000 this year.
“Well what I think is important is that Mr. Blewett’s legacy funds are a great example of a donor who cares deeply about specific causes and recognizes that the foundation can be a good vehicle for that,” said Zosia Eppensteiner, the CEO of Community Foundation of Marquette County. “And the face that giving can have an immediate affect on our non-profits but also knowing that we can look at more sustainable ways of their long term support and the growth of those funds.”
Organizations that were assisted include Ishpeming High School, the Salvation Army and Bark River Harris School District.
