Northern Michiganders among Gretchen Whitmer’s boards and commissions appointees

Numerous Yoopers were appointed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer for boards and commissions.

Today, the governor announced her appointees to numerous committees, including the Michigan Board of Real Estate Appraisers, Mental Health Diversion Council, and more.

Here are some of the appointees from the area.

Marquette resident Dennis Smith was appointed to the Commission on Services to the Aging. He is the former CEO of UP Health Plan, and is currently president of Dennis H. Smith Consulting.

Euphemia “Sue” Franklin, of Center Line, also joins the Commission on Services to the Aging. She is the director of South-Eastern Michigan Indians, Inc. and is a member of the Sault Ste. Marie tribe of Chippewa Indians.

Catherine Quayle, of Gwinn, was appointed to the Board of Real Estate Appraisers. She is a certified residential appraiser with Appraisal Associates of Marquette.
