City of Marquette beaches, Tourist Park, McCarty’s Cove and South Beach closed today
Effective Date: Friday, July 2nd
Please be advised that the City of Marquette beaches, Tourist Park, McCarty’s Cove and South Beach will be closed today, starting at 5:00 PM, Friday, July 2st, due to unsafe E.coli levels in the water. Lifeguards will remain on duty during this time to inform the public of the unsafe water conditions. There will be double red no swimming flags flying during this time to act as additional advisory.
The City Fire Department will issue a news release tomorrow morning, advising news
agencies of either beaches reopening, or continued closure.
