Queen City Seed Library provides accessibility to gardening
Books aren’t the only thing for rent at your local library.
The Peter White Public Library in Marquette has its very own seed library, where patrons can check out various plant seeds for free and return seeds harvested from their successful plants.
Queen City Seed Library co-founder and volunteer Mike Riesterer explains the impact of the seed collection, saying, “It’s not about making money or anything like that. It’s about having control of your food source. That starts with you being able to grow your own food.”
