NEGAUNEE, Mich. (WBUP) — A local library is providing children of all ages a unique opportunity to be creative in the community.

Many authors and publishers gave libraries the option to read stories online during the stay home orders, but now only a handful will continue to help.

Negaunee Public Library is looking to fill the void by asking local kids to help out.

To keep kids entertained, the library has a Facebook Livestream for children of all ages on Monday at 11:00 a.m.

The library is asking for local kids to help with the online storytime by creating, writing, and drawing your very own story which you can donate to the library and watch it being read live for the community.

Additionally, Friends of Negaunee Public Library is having a book sale from 9:00 a.m. to noon on Monday, October 5th and Tuesday, October 13th. Depending on weather, the book sales may move a day so the first one would be on Tuesday, October 6th and the second one would be on Wednesday, October 13th.
