Thomas Theatre Group to return to daily operations
MICHIGAN — With Governor Gretchen Whitmer announcing that parts of the state will move into phase five of the re–opening process, businesses that have been closed for months are preparing to return to daily operations.
Thomas Theatre Group is preparing to open all of their theaters to the public on Thursday, June 11th.
The theaters will be showing different old movies until newer ones are released for the price of four dollars, along with a special kids’ movie each week for two dollars.
“It’s always a great thing to do in the summer; to get together with anyone and go to a movie,” Said Valarie Andes, Vice President of Thomas Theatre Group. “You may have to be socially distant from that person, but at least you can kind of get together. Show times are spread out between the 12:30 times, 4 o’clock times, and the 7 o’clock time and that’s going to be it. That leaves time for social distancing when you enter and finding a seat. All of our staff will be wearing mask and gloves and will be cleaning constantly.”
Theaters will only be allowed to seat 25 people at a time, and some rows will not be available in order to follow social distancing guidelines.
