Single vehicle accident leaves one Skandia woman with non-life threatening injuries
MARQUETTE COUNTY — A single vehicle personal injury crash happened on U.S. 41 where a woman had to extricate from the vehicle. A 58-year-old Skandia woman, Deborah Monty, was involved in the crash that happened at approximately 5:35 a.m., on January 22, 2020.
The accident occurred on U.S. 41 near East Johnson Road in Skandia Township. The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office reported that the vehicle, a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Deborah Monty struck a large snowdrift causing her to lose control.
The vehicle slid sideways and then entered the snow bank where it became overturned and came to rest against the tree. The driver was extricated from the vehicle and transported to the UP Health Systems-Marquette for non-life threatening injuries.
