Two individuals arrested after high speed chase in Escanaba
ESCANABA — The Escanaba Department of Public Safety was involved in a high speed chase yesterday.
The chase was initiated at approximately 9:17 pm in the 2800 block of 3rd Ave. South. The vehicle pursuit went through the City of Escanaba, Wells Township, and eventually ended on the 11th Road in Ford River Township.
The driver, a 26-year-old male, was arrested and charged with a felony for fleeing and eluding, revisiting and obstructing, and while driving with a suspended license. The bond was set at $100,000.00 for the male subject.
The passenger of the vehicle, a 27-year-old female, was also arrested on unrelated charges.
The Escanaba Public Safety was assisted by the Delta County Sheriff Department, Michigan State Police, Menominee County Sheriff Department, Hannahville Tribal Police Department, Delta County Central Dispatch Center, Rampart, and Genes Towing.
