Armed robbery at local Piggly Wiggly in Marinette County

MARINETTE COUNTY — Marinette County Sheriff Jerry Sauve reports that at 6:13 pm Marinette County Dispatch received a call of an armed robbery at the Coleman Piggly Wiggly grocery store. The male suspect threatened to use a firearm and left the store on foot with stolen cash.

The suspect is described as a tall white male wearing a Milwaukee Brewers hat, long sleeve shirt, dark pants and grey shoes. Photos of the suspect captured by store security are posted on the Marinette Sheriff’s Office Facebook Page.

The initial investigation reveals the suspect left eastbound on foot, but may then have left in a vehicle. The Sheriff’s Office and the Coleman Police were assisted at the scene by the Marinette Police Department and their K-9 unit, Oconto County Sheriff’s Office and their K-9 unit, the Wisconsin DNR Wardens.
