Man arrested for animal torture of puppy

DELTA COUNTY — On December 20th, 2018, it was reported to the Delta County Sheriff’s Office that a puppy was dropped off at the Delta Animal Shelter with multiple injuries. It had been found in the area of Rock.

The puppy was examined and due to the nature of the injuries, it was suspected that the animal had been abused. The injuries were severe enough that it had to be euthanized.

After conducting an investigation, a warrant was sought and issued for a 27 year old Escanaba man. The man was lodged at the Delta County Correctional Facility on charges of animal torturing.

Bond is set at $100,000.
