2 arrests made in Iron Mountain crystal meth bust

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team arrested two people during a crystal meth investigation in Iron Mountain on Thursday.

 

 

According to UPSET, detectives saw a vehicle leave a suspected drug house.

Troopers from the Michigan State Police Iron Mountain Post pulled the vehicle over.

The driver was arrested for operating under the influence of drugs.

The people in the vehicle admitted to purchasing crystal meth from the residence they were seen leaving.

Detectives then obtained and served a search warrant at the suspected drug house. As a result of the investigation, detectives found over 30 grams of crystal meth and more than $1,000 in cash.

The homeowner was arrested and taken to the Dickinson County Jail, with recommended charges related to the distribution of meth.

Police say the names and locations of the investigation are being withheld at this time.

The investigation remains ongoing, and additional arrests are expected.
