MSHS holds official gymnasium naming

MARQUETTE — On Tuesday, December 11, 2018, Marquette Area Public Schools announced the official gymnasium name for Marquette Senior High School.

The main gym is now named the “Barb Crill Gymnasium”.

The ceremony began at 4 p.m. with a documentary on the life and times of Barb Crill.

She was as an educator, coach, mentor, innovator and state champion.

Throughout the entire evening, the 1976 State Championship team was in attendance to honor Barb.

Before the varsity tip–off against Negaunee there was a short ceremony and naming, that took on center court.

Past and present student athletes, educators and community members attended the special event honor Barb Crill.

After the conclusion of the game, a 5th quarter gathering ensued at Vango’s where all public was invited to attend.
