Breaking and entering at the Ramada Inn
MARQUETTE — Marquette Police responded to the Ramada Inn regarding a breaking and entering complaint on September 7, at approximately 11:15 p.m.
According to police, entry had appeared to have been gained through a first-floor exterior window.
Two iPads, a handgun and other miscellaneous items were reported stolen from the room.
On September 8, at 11:20 p.m. Marquette Police received information that the stolen items were possibly located at 1303 Lincoln Avenue in the City of Marquette.
The iPads and a portion of the other stolen items were located once Police obtained and executed a search warrant at 1303 Lincoln Avenue.
Because of further investigation, the stolen firearm was located and recovered in the 200 block of Sugarloaf Avenue in Marquette at 10:30 p.m. on September 9.
Three suspects have been charged by the Marquette County Prosecutor’s Office for their alleged involvement in this incident.
49-year-old Bernard Charles Duquette of Marquette has been charged with a 9-count warrant.
The charges include: Home invasion 2nd degree, 2 counts of receiving and concealing stolen firearm, possession of a stolen firearm by a felon, larceny of a firearm and 4 counts of felony firearm.
47-year-old Gail Lynn Duquette of Marquette was charged with receiving and concealing stolen property over $200.00 but under $1000.00.
24-year-old Jordan Joseph Beaudry of Marquette was charged with receiving and concealing stolen firearm.
This investigation is still ongoing.
