MARQUETTE — On Thursday, September 6, Marquette Police responded to the area of S. Front Street and Hampton Street for a personal injury accident.
The accident included a semi truck and a passenger car.
81-year-old Marquette resident Carol Marceau, was the driver of the passenger car.
The car was traveling southbound on S. Front Street and the semi truck was stopped at the stop sign on eastbound W. Hampton Street.
The driver of the semi truck pulled out in front of the passenger car while attempting to turn right onto S. Front Street.
Marceau was unable to stop before hitting the semi truck.
The semi truck was driven by a 28-year-old Kentucky resident, Warren Phillips.
Phillips was at fault in the accident and was cited for failure to yield.
Marceau was transported to UPHS Marquette by UPHS Marquette ambulance and was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
