ISHPEMING — The Great Lakes Recovery Center recently announced that they got accredited for another three years, which shows their agreement to the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) standard.

The accreditation was a lengthy process and it was done through the CARF.

“Well, certainly for the last 21 years Great Lakes has been able to maintain a 3-year accreditation process throughout that time span” said CEO of Great Lakes Recovery Centers, Greg Toutant. “So, it really means that we have taken pride in the ability to look at how we incorporate standards that were designed to protect the respects and dignity of our consumers.”

This is the sixth consecutive year that the GLRC has been accredited and it represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization.

The GLRC is thankful that they are able to offer publicly funded behavioral health services
